Kara spent nearly three decades in corporate global roles leading Marketing, Branding and Design for iconic and Fortune companies. She worked with the best in the industry in building distinctive brands, storytelling, and experiences. Her work afforded her the opportunity to travel the world, sourcing ideas and inspiration from Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Her corporate experience taught her rigor, planning, and collaboration with diverse teams.

With Flannel & Mallard, Kara has combined her business acumen with personal passions of design, home improvement, entertaining, and travel to curate distinctive experiences in the Northwoods. 

Over the past six years, she has been on her own journey to cultivate properties into emotional experiences here in Northern Wisconsin, and is now looking to work with others to do the same.
